Text Box: I DID IT!!!! I am now a triathlete. It's the greatest feeling in the world to set a goal for yourself.... something that you admired and have wanted to do for years and achieve it. It's amazing to me. After this I feel like there is nothing I can't accomplish if I only work at it ( I know... my Mom's been telling me that for years, but Mom's are supposed to say stuff like that) I competed in the Finger Lakes Triathlon. A half mile swim, 13 mile bike and 3.2 mile run (5k) click here. It was FUN! I will post some pictures as soon as I get them. What was great is that I had my very own section of athletic supporters.... My Jock Straps as I affectionately call them. They made shirts with my name on them, cheered for me at various stages in the race and most importantly, bought me a beer or 2 afterwards. Thank you to everyone who showed up to support me. You really kept me going through it all. So I have challenged myself, and now I'm challenging YOU. Those who know me that I am very dedicated to Glory Be to Kids. I would like to use this self-challenge as an opportunity to raise some funds to donate to GBTK. I am half way to my goal... and even though I have already competed in the event, you can still help me reach my full goal of $1000! DONATE NOW!!!
