Text Box: Thank you to everyone who made our 2009 Golf Tournament the best it has ever been. A special thank you to all of the staff at Deerwood Golf course and The Fairways Restaurant for making the playing and dining experience exceptional for all of our participants. We apologize that the weather didn't cooperate as we had hoped but all in all it turned out to be a fun afternoon for everyone. Our softball tournament is just around the corner and we are excited to announce the return of the HOME RUN DERBY!! Thanks to the City of Tonawanda Recreation Department, we will be using the Niagara softball field at East Niagara Park, located along the historical Erie Canal to host this years event. It will be held Friday July 17th with the first pitch being thrown at 8pm. Get there early to register and try your hand at hitting the long ball. Just know, that you don't have to hit it over the fence to score points and possibly win. We have made the contest "Batter Friendly" for players of all skill levels. And with the strategic purchase of one of our special Bonus Balls, you may find yourself at the top of the winners list. For details and a complete list of rules, click the link provided. Mark your calendar NOW for the newest of our Glory Be to Kids events, the CHOWDER CHALLENGE will be coming to you this October. It will consist of a 5k run followed by our first ever chowder cook off festival. Come to run and then stay to see who makes the best chowder in all of WNY. There will be live music provided by NT's own Double Shot along with special "1/4k for Kids" fun run for children ages 3 to 13. Text Box: OUR MISSION We are united in the belief that there is no greater cause then that of a child. "Glory Be to Kids" strives to make a difference in the lives of children in need. OUR MEANS Began to honor the memory of one friend and to help one child, today, "Glory Be to Kids" is a celebration of ALL children. It is a celebration of community and of friendship. By combining our love of children with our love of sports (mainly softball) funds are raised through various events. Each year a different local children's charity is chosen as a recipient and all money raised is donated to them.
